Our clients are specialists in the design and manufacture of laboratories and healthcare workspaces. They needed a local resource to provide various fabrication activities (including powder coating) to their extruded aluminium service ducts.
The required fabrication activities for the profile included, precision cutting to length, routing and milling various shapes into the profile exterior / interior and corresponding cover plates, precision drilling of holes and thread tapping of same and welding of end plates to the profile.
Following all this the fabricated service duct is then powder coated to the required project colour to Australian Standards.
After meeting with the client, Ai demonstrated that it could, via its fully integrated in house fabrication and powder coating operations, conduct the required work to the extruded aluminium service ducts.
Ai produced several finished product modules for an upcoming project in Melbourne as proof of our capabilities. These were used for approval by the project architect for the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI).
To date several large projects have now been completed for the client including: WEHI redevelopment project in Melbourne, the Bioscience Research Centre at La Trobe University, Austin Hospital, and Curtin University refurbishment in Western Australia
